In the name of our company “Smyrnatour”, we would wish to welcome you to a pleasant journey through our country.
Turkey – a paradise of sun, sea, mountains and lakes offer you a true alternative to the routine and the stress of daily life.

The Anatolian semi-island, the national territory of the current day Turkey are renowned as being the cradle and home to
many cultures which have, during history, all prayed to the sun and have done this through differing symbols. Anatolia,
geographically speaking created by the shifting of the continents, means “Land of the Mother Sun” and is characterized by
peculiarities of three connected continents.
With every step one makes, one still meets even today the rich heritance of thousand of years of settling people.
Between 2500 b.c. and 1600 a.d. the advanced civilizations blossomed in Anatolia. The agriculture of Turkey can be compared
to a fantastic, century’s old Kelim, whose motive, colourfully radiant, has over the years reached a seldom perfection.
In certain ugly parts on this masterpiece in the form of karsted areas and bare mountains, please remember that more races
and heavenly hosts have wandered through this country than anywhere else.

Everywhere one goes, one finds beside remains of
majestic secular buildings the remains of temples and cult places of worship from the time of the polytheism. Many were,
as monotheism began to spread, turned into towns of the new belief, some of which were mentioned in the bible.
The bible contains the following: god had planted a garden in the morning in Eden and sat the people down. The country
“against morning” is the turkish Anatolia, Anadolu, land of the rising sun.
In the book of Genesis, it is said that a current rose from Eden to water the garden. The current was divided up into four
main streams – Pison, Gihon, Tigris and Euphrat. Pison and Gihon could never be fully recognised. The source zones of
Euphrat and Gihon remained the main vains of the geograhical garden of gods earth. Euphrat and Tigris arise from Anatolia.
Paradise was in Turkey

The turkish philosophy is recognised a being tolerant. This was preached by the religious mysmystic Mevlana, who lived in
Konya in the 13th century. His supporters favourised the humanistic principles he taught and which up to present day have
not lost their significance and which were mirrored in the next appeal on the part of the wise men.
„Come, come back here, whover, wherever and whatever you may be: Come, come, whether pagan, fire worshiper, graven
image – come! Come here even if you have contravened against the commandments – come – then here, the door to despair and
poverty will not be opened up, come”.
With these words, Mevland summed up the feelings of the Turkish people. Then it is widely recognised that governments come
and go, cultures flourish and then disintegrate, laws and regulations are constantly valid and must then be amended, but
tolerance against history and art are for everyone a timeless value.
Only against this historic background could Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic leave his people the famous words
“Peace in a country, peace in the wold” – the leitmotif of Anatolia, the “Land of the Mother Sun” and the current-day Turkey.
